Berlin – March 10, 2010. As of March 1, 2010, Walter Schumann heads the sales activities of the leading German e-mail security provider eleven. In charge of all of eleven’s sales and distribution activities, the new Vice President Sales is a valuable addition to the company’s management team. His main assignments include defining the company’s market position in the Germany-Austria-Switzerland region and expanding all of eleven’s business activities. Walter Schumann has over twenty years of experience in the software and IT security fields, most of which he acquired in international management positions.

The 51-year-old manager brings with him extensive experience in the field of IT and e-mail security. Before joining eleven, he was General Manager for Central and Eastern Europe at content security provider Clearswift. Prior to that, he was in charge of European sales at the leading German security specialist Astaro as General Manager and Senior VP of sales and marketing for EMEA. In this position he restructured the company’s sales activities and built Astaro’s successful channel program. He also acquired management and industry experience as Managing Director for EMEA at security provider Zone Labs, as Managing Director for Germany for VA Linux Systems, and as Managing Director for EMEA at Adaptec.

Walter Schumann has a master’s degree from the University of Tennessee in the U.S.A.
