eleven presents eXpurgate 3.2 and enSurance 3.1 – New: E-mail archiving as a managed service, SNMP support and mail tracking – E-mail security “Made in Germany” in Hall 11, Stand B28

Berlin – March 2,2010. eleven,Germany’s leading specialist for e-mail security, will unveil the latest generation of its integrated e-mail security solution for enterprises, ISPs and web hosters at this year’s CeBIT trade show, which starts today in Hanover, Germany. With the new versions of its e-mail security solutions eXpurgate and enSurance, eleven is adding to its portfolio several new features, such as e-mail archiving as a managed service, full SNMP support and eleven Mail Tracking for tracing and analyzing e-mail traffic that was inspected by eleven.

SNMP support and e-mail archiving

With eXpurgate 3.2 and enSurance 3.1, eleven has moved the third generation of its e-mail security solutions for enterprises, ISPs and web hosters another step ahead. eXpurgate 3.2 offers a series of new functions and features. For example, eXpurgate.Inhouse 3.2 supports the SNMP protocol. This makes it possible to integrate eXpurgate into the network monitoring system and generate a multitude of eXpurgate statistics for inspected and categorized e-mail messages.

eleven Archiving handles the audit-proof and GDPdU-compliant archiving of important e-mails as a managed service, thus providing relief for the customer’s IT infrastructure. With eleven Archiving, users can fulfill their legal e-mail retention requirements by having their messages stored in their original form, unalterable and encrypted. By turning archiving into a managed service, enterprises can significantly reduce the burden on their IT infrastructure since they no longer need to provide their own hardware and system resources for archiving or use their own storage for archived e-mail. Thanks to a web-based interface with search functionality and full-text indexing, finding archived messages is quick and easy. eleven Archiving is available as an add-on for eXpurgate Managed Service, which ensures that no spam or malware is archived along with legitimate e-mail.

Additional innovations

Another new feature in eXpurgate 3.2 is eXpurgate Mail Tracking, which provides exceptional transparency for eXpurgate Managed Service. Administrators can now look for specific e-mail messages that were inspected by eleven. With eXpurgate Mail Tracking, customers can now trace each of their e-mail transactions and investigate reports of supposedly lost e-mails right away. With the support of BATV, both the managed service as well as the in-house version of eXpurgate 3.2 now provide improved protection against messages being bounced back to falsified sender addresses (“backscatter”).

The new version of the high-performance e-mail firewall enSurance 3.1 makes sure that the enterprise has access to its e-mail communication at all times while delivering ten percent more performance than the prior version along with additional configuration options. For example, the user can now specify in more detail at which point the system will accept e-mails only from important users if the e-mail volume reaches a certain limit.

The eXpurgate solutions protect businesses’ e-mail infrastructures by providing extensive e-mail security and reliable protection against spam, phishing and malware. The solutions can be deployed as outsourced managed services, as in-house solutions and as the full-service eXpurgate.Edge including an MTA gateway. With a spam detection rate of over 99 percent and Zero False Positives® for individual, business-relevant e-mails, eleven protects the e-mail communication of enterprises of all sizes.
