Press release:
CeBIT 2010: eleven expands portfolio to include e-mail archiving
New managed service offers audit-compliant archiving and takes a load off company e-mail infrastructures – At CeBIT (Hall 11, Stand B28), eleven presents integrated e-mail security solutions for companies
Berlin, February 9, 2010 – eleven, the leading German e-mail security specialist, is expanding its integrated enterprise e-mail security portfolio to include e-mail archiving as a managed service. The company will present its new solution eleven Archiving for the first time at CeBIT 2010 from March 2-6 in Hanover, in Hall 11 at Stand B28. eleven Archiving enables the legally required, long-term, audit-compliant storage of business-relevant e-mail. The solution makes it possible for customer companies to store digital communication in conformity with Germany's GDPdU regulations, which govern principles of data access and the verifiability of digital documents. It also protects companies against the loss of important information and takes a significant load off the corporate e-mail infrastructure. eleven Archiving is available as an additional component of the integrated e-mail security solution eXpurgate Managed Service, whch ensures that no spam or malware is archived along with legitimate e-mail.
eleven Archiving enables companies to fulfill the legal requirement of archiving business e-mail communication long-term in its original and unalterable form. By procuring e-mail archiving as a managed service, enterprises can significantly reduce the burden on their IT infrastructures since they no longer need to provide their own hardware and system resources for archiving, or use their own storage for archived e-mail. The solution thus contributes to increasing the cost-efficiency of a company’s IT. eleven Archiving operates independently of the e-mail system in use, is completely maintenance-free and does not interfere with the company’s own e-mail infrastructure.
With eleven Archiving, a company has access at all times to its archived e-mail. A web interface uses search functions and full-text indexing to locate stored e-mail messages quickly and easily. Moreover, a connection to the integrated e-mail security solution eXpurgate Managed Service prevents the archiving of spam or e-mail messages containing malware. Finally, the solution also ensures that no business-relevant e-mail is lost, for example because it has been accidentally deleted by the recipient.
“With eleven Archiving, we are expanding our solutions that allow enterprises to secure their business-relevant e-mail communication at any time. eleven Archiving helps companies fulfill their legal requirements cost-effectively,” states Robert Rothe, founder and CEO of eleven.
Next-generation e-mail security
In addition to e-mail archiving, at CeBIT eleven will be introducing the current generation of its e-mail security technology eXpurgate, which can be implemented as a managed service, an in-house software solution or a complete solution with Gateway MTA. eXpurgate is infinitely scalable and can be used in companies of any size – including ISPs and telecommunications providers with several million e-mail users. eXpurgate features reliable spam protection that offers a higher-than-average detection rate of more than 99 percent, and almost completely excludes the false categorization of legitimate e-mail as spam. The eleven product portfolio is rounded out by both three-level virus protection that also detects new, previously unknown viruses with a high degree of reliability, and a powerful e-mail firewall that secures business-relevant e-mail communication in every situation.
