eXpurgate.Inhouse is integrated into the existing e-mail infrastructure as a SMTP proxy or as a plug-in via various interfaces, e. g. for SpamAssassin and Sendmail Milter. The in-house solution is suitable for all standard platforms, including Windows, all common Linux distributions, and Solaris 9+. In version 3.0, eXpurgate also supports all 64-bit systems.

How it works:
eleven checks and categorizes incoming e-mail, but on the customer´s server. Only the short checksums are checked against the central eXpurgate data base using an encoded connection (SSL). This is where the bulkcheck central to the eXpurgate inspection procedure is carried out. Generally the inspection procedure causes no noticeable delay in delivery.
