AntiVir virus protection
An integral part of eXpurgate virus protection is the multi-award-winning anti-virus software AntiVir from eleven’s technology partner Avira, the only German provider of complete antivirus solutions.
AntiVir reliably recognizes known viruses carried by e-mails by their assigned signatures. eXpurgate categorizes risky e-mails as “dangerous.virus“ mails along with the name of the virus or worm.
The additional signature-based virus protection function is available for all eXpurgate versions (ASP, in-house, SDK). To activate this function, customers with the ASP version activate the virus scanner function using the configuration tool in their eXpurgate account under the menu option “virus check”. Click on the menu option “e-mail functions“ to determine what happens to e-mails containing a virus.
