How It Works

eXpurgate.Inhouse is integrated into customers’ existing e-mail server software through integration as an SMTP proxy or a plug-in via numerous interfaces, including SpamAssassin (spamd) and Sendmail Milter. The examination and categorization of incoming e-mails is performed at Eleven, but processed on customer servers. Short fingerprints are checked in the central eXpurgate database via an encrypted connection (SSL). Here, the main bulk check is performed. After installation and configuration, the service requires neither further maintenance nor regular updates. Customers have numerous configuration options, such as e-mail-category control. The in-house solution works on all standard platforms, including Windows, all common Linux distributions, and Solaris 9+. eXpurgate version 3.0 and higher also supports all 64-bit systems.
